As you've probably
heard, the air inside your home is usually worse than the
air outside. Even if you live in a big city! If you live
out in the country, the air inside your house may be as
much as 10 times worse for you than the air outside.
Since most people spend more time indoors than out, it
is probably a good idea to make the indoor air as clean
as possible. The question is, how do I clean the air indoors?
One effective solution is a air purifier.
There are several different types of air purifiers to
choose from depending on your individual circumstances
and preferences. Each operates in a slightly different
manner in how they go about purifying the air. An ionic
air purifier cleans the air by producing negatively charged
ions. These ions combine with the particles in the air
which make them drop to the ground. The particles are then
cleaned up whenever you vacuum.
Another method is a UV air purifier. These purifiers use
ultraviolet light to clean the air. Simply put, air is
drawn towards the light which in turn cleans it.
There are other methods of cleaning the air and the price
range of air purifiers usually run from $75 to over $1,000.
You probably don't need the newest high tech version to
benefit from cleaner air but it is worth taking a look
at the new technology and find out what the best solution
is for you.
