Was told I had periodontal disease by a discount dentist. My former dentist had never mentioned this in preceding 3 years. The deep cleaning for first of several sessions has already cost over $200 , was very painful ,my gums now hurt even more and my teeth still look bad because they did not polish , only scrape for the general cleaning. I was instructed that I need to receive a deep cleaning because of periodontal disease. My out of pocket to pay would be $280 for the entire mouth(cleaning done in two separate sessions) and this price is including my dental insurance that covers 70% of the service.
